List of Good NYC Restaurants To Stand In If you're thinking you'll realize that any bar that serves food and any place that has a bar has the chance to make a Where To Stand and Eat list. Dig deeper and you may even get that proximity to public transportation (no cabs for the non-sitters) is another consideration. Beyond that, well, how much space do you have (are impatient diners hoarding over you) and how easy is the food to eat while on your feet (something you actually have to practice). I'm sure I'll think of other things but here's the early list: By the way, get as fancy as you want (Gotham has a great big bar) but it's your clothing and their white napkins that will suffer until you can, at least, lean a little...
